Mercurial Blood Pressure Monitor HOW TO USE Blood Pressure Apparatus Open the lid gently until it snaps into the rubber position. Place the armlet with the rubber tubing downwards around the patient elbow. The armlet should cover the flesh tightly without causing contraction. When making the test the arm should be almost stretched and the muscles completely relaxed. CLEANING THE GLASS TUBE Turn the whole apparatus on the left side. Press stand knob about half an inch upwards with the thumb of the left hand, at the same time catch hold of the glass tube with the thumb and forefinger of the right hand. The tube may then be easily removed First from Cap then from container Take out the glass tube. Clean it by drawing the enclosed glass tube. Brush several times, through the tube. Reassemble the parts in reversed order into the apparatus. The graduated end of the mercury tube being into Cap while doing so the blood pressure apparatus must be kept locked and on the left side to prevent the escape of mercury. CHART SHOWING AVERAGE BLOOD PRESSURE ALONG WITH STANDARD DEVIATORS IN NORMAL HEALTHY INDIVIDUALS.
