Bos Medicaare Surgical A bag valve mask sometimes referred to as an Ambu bag, is a handheld tool that is used to deliver positive pressure ventilation to any subject with insufficient or ineffective breaths. It consists of a self-inflating bag, one-way valve, mask, and an oxygen reservoir. They are instruments used to provide oxygen during intermittent positive pressure respiration (IPPR) via an endotracheal tube or a facemask. They are used in emergencies when somebody is facing breathing difficulties to provide artificial ventilation.
